Make room for your signature.

Sometimes a form needs a visible signature and you already have a signature image. PDF AI can place that image on the document. This is a visual addition; it is not a certificate-backed digital signing workflow.

Prepare a clean signature image

Create the image on a plain background and crop it close to the writing. A transparent PNG can avoid a white rectangle covering the form. Preview the image on both light and dark backgrounds so you notice stray marks before uploading.

Only use a signature you are authorized to apply. Keep the image in a private location, since anyone with access to it could copy its appearance.

Add it to the document

Open Sign PDF, select your PDF, and choose a PNG or JPG signature image in the settings area. Run the tool and download the result.

The current workflow uses a preset placement. It is not a drag-and-drop signing canvas. Inspect the output to see whether the position fits your form; do not send it if the image covers text or misses the intended signature area.

Review the complete page

Look beyond the signature itself. Check the date, typed name, selected boxes, and any text near the image. Confirm that the recipient accepts this form of signature for the document in question.

Know when to use another workflow

A visible image does not establish signer identity, record consent, or provide a tamper-evident audit trail. If the recipient requires identity verification or a certified signing process, use their specified service instead.

Keep the original unsigned file and the final submitted version separately. If the document already has a cryptographic signature, adding an image may invalidate that signature.
