FILE & PRIVACY POLICY

Your files are your business.

How processing works

PDF AI uploads documents to its server to perform the operation you request. These tools are not an offline or browser-only processing service. The PDF engine and document services run in the PDF AI deployment.

Temporary files and cleanup

Successful file-processing jobs become eligible for automatic cleanup 10 minutes after completion. Failed jobs are eligible after 5 minutes; stuck jobs have a longer cleanup window of approximately 1 hour. Cleanup runs periodically while the service is active, so deletion is not instantaneous and may be delayed by a service interruption. Download the result promptly and keep your original.

Webpage conversion

When you use URL to PDF, the renderer requests the public page and its resources from their originating servers. The generated PDF is returned directly to your browser rather than saved as a downloadable job. Destination websites may log those requests.

Service records

Basic request and error logs can contain network addresses, job identifiers, filenames, and error details needed to operate the service. Do not put confidential information in filenames or public URLs. This deployment does not include the old site’s advertising scripts or a marketing analytics integration.

Accounts and payments

All tools are currently free and require no account. PDF AI does not request card details for a conversion. Browser state needed for an active task is not a permanent document library.

Before uploading

Only upload files you are authorized to process. If your organization restricts where documents may be processed, use its approved workflow. Keep especially sensitive material within the systems approved for it. This page describes the current service and will be updated when its behavior changes.
